Very recently, the Dutch organ builder Jan van Eijk received a royal honour, but unfortunately, after a short illness, Jan died in the night of 13th on 14th March 2015.
During his career, Jan created various types of instruments, esp. 52-key organs, most of which were named after Dutch painters and which found there way to customers in Europe and far abroad. But his concert organ De Ruisdael was also a very popular guest at events at home and abroad.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the family and wish them a lot of courage.
